This year at the Club's annual Ice Show, we were fortunate enough to have Michael Bruff from SNAP! St. John's and Bruff Photography.

At the year end AGM and Banquet for the Newfoundland and Labrador Section, club skater Grace Woodland was awarded the SCNL Competitive Skater of the Year for her accomplishments this season.
This is the second year in a row Grace was presented with this award.
Canadian Pre-Novice Pairs Champions Robyn-Lynn McGrath and Matthew Power were presented with the Athlete Assistance bursary for their top national finish!
Congratulations Grace, Robyn-Lynn & Matthew! Keep up the great work!
The Club's Annual General Meeting will take place Tuesday April 24th, 2012, 7:00pm at the Glacier I Hospitality Room on the third floor.
Voting will take place for our 2012-2013 Executive at this time. Anyone who is a registered member (18 years or older) or whom has a child registered (one vote per membership) can vote in this election. All members are encouraged to attend.

As the 2011-2012 Skating Season comes to an end, we would like to extend our thanks and best wishes to all members of the Mount Pearl Skating Club. This has been a very successful year for all levels of our members; Pre-CanSkaters, CanSkaters, STARSkaters, Competitive Skaters, Synchro Teams, Adult Learn, Officials, Coaches and Volunteers.

Long time club skater Meghan Murphy completed her Gold Dance test on Thursday March 22, 2012. This test gives Meghan her second Gold test!

A number of skaters represented the club at the 2012 Avalon Interclub Championships in St. John's on Saturday March 17th, 2012. As a rusult of our great success, the Club won the Trophy for being the most improved club!!!

The 2012 Junior Provincial Championships took place March 10 & 11, 2012 in Kelligrews. Some of the Clubs Preliminary and Pre-Preliminary skaters competed in singles, and a number of CanSkaters entered the newly introduced 'Skate to Standard' assessment. Congratultions to all entrants!!!

Club skater Paolo Paiement competed in the 2012 Special Olympic Canada Winter Games February 28-March 4, 2012 in St. Albert, Alberta.
Paolo placed second in his technical skate and 3rd in freeskate, finishing thir overall and bringing home the bronze medal!
